SignalTrack™ Fleet Management Solutions
Why is SignalTrack different from other GPS tracking solutions?
As small as a credit card, this state-of-the-art hardware device installs covertly in your vehicles and does not require any external antenna on the windshield or roof. The Smart Antenna is virtually tamperproof, because the unit is completely self contained. The Smart Antenna hardware does not have an external antenna. All GPS components are self-contained within the GPS device so there is nothing to unplug or unscrew.
One of the highlighted features of the Smart Antenna a GPS reading called a “Heartbeat”, which gives a location update once per hour while the ignition is turned off. This will let the user know if the GPS transponder lost power at any point while the ignition was in the off position. The Heartbeat feature is also used for vehicle inventory. Example: With any other GPS system, if a user on the web application sees that a vehicle hasn’t moved position in 5 days, the user if left wondering 1) has the vehicle really moved and the GPS system isn’t functioning? or 2) the vehicle really hasn’t moved in 5 days. With our Heartbeat feature, you will see location data up to the last hour on all vehicles whether the ignition is on or off. This will confirm that all vehicles’ GPS systems are reporting properly.
In addition, we offer the Smart Antenna housed in a ruggedized, weatherproof enclosure –  which allows the Smart Antenna to be mounted on any type of asset. Because we can monitor a variety of asset types on one web application, this eliminates the need to contract with other vendors in order to monitor other asset types.
