GPS Trailer/Asset Tracker Empowers Construction Contractors to Radically Improve Fleet Service, Efficiency, Safety and Reduce Operating Costs
June, 2013, Langhorne, PA – GPS North America, the integrated fleet management and asset tracking industry leader, is pleased to introduce the Model AT-3100 to its growing line of fleet and asset monitoring products and management services. This small, discreet and rugged GPS transceiver is engineered exclusively to continuously monitor operations feedback and provide precise location tracking of mobile equipment, service fleets, and fixed assets.
The Model AT-3100, along with GPS North America’s easy-to-operate SignalTrack™ internet-based fleet management platform, provides contractors with ready access to a wide range of tracking features that help them keep track of fleet assets in real-time and improve production and cost efficiency.
For example, when an asset is in motion after being inactive for a period of time, the Model AT-3100 provides an instant alert to its movement. This will occur whether there is power to the unit or not.
“Our company has the ability to “semi customize” our solution to integrate with a range of third-party systems and software,” said Todd Lewis, President of GPS North America. “Raw or derived data can also be delivered to our customer’s IT department at variable update intervals for any specialized internal projects,” he added.
Fitted with a durable and long-life battery as well as a highly durable IP67 weatherproof casing, the Model AT-3100 will function optimally without direct access to a power supply and is resilient to severe conditions. Both features make the Model AT-3100 a perfect solution for construction equipment that may sit idle for weeks or months at a time.
The AT-3100 Power Model has an internal charger, which enables it to be used in situations where an intermittent power supply exists. The AT-3100 Power is also used when permanent installation is required, such as in trailers where power availability is accessible only when connected to the truck.
The unit charges its battery when the power is connected and uses its battery and the advance power management algorithm to maintain tracking when power is disconnected.
GPS North America offers a variety of purchase and lease-purchase options. Installation, ongoing support and training options are also available.
